Our courses, lectures, communities and events are delivered online; physical travel is not required. All a student needs to participate a web browser and a suitable broadband Internet connection. We support both desktop and mobile devices and a very wide range of connection speeds.
Our course are conducted over a period (typically about five to seven weeks) with most instructors opting for providing one lesson per week. Some courses are longer, last up to three months. In this period, for our fully-interactive courses, each student will watch the week's video-on-demand lecture and then meet together via live interactive conference calls or web meetings to discuss the week's assignment with the courses' instructors and other members of the class. Back-and-fourth dialog, as well as questions, are encouraged.
Some courses have pre-programmed discussion points that require students to respond online to structured questions in Class Forums or submitting short papers.
Some courses are video-only lectures where students watch high-definition video lectures online.
Our website provides an electronic campus linking students and instructors all across North America. In addition to our courses, our online campus is also the home of our free and ticketed events; regular online interactive or video-only productions on topics of interest to the whole Church.
Our online campus is a Connected Community that connects our students with others of similar interests from clergy and members of churches all around North America. It allows churches and individuals — previously unconnected — to exchange ideas, projects and education for worship, transformation, mission, outreach, evangelism, stewardship fundraising and other ministries.
The Connected Community allows church people to also exchange concerns and prayers; to seek support from one another in a collegial learning environment.
